Catching up with my friend Izolda is always a challenge. First, it’s tough to actually arrange a meeting. Secondly, the meetings themselves are usually in some pretty strange places. A few weeks ago we met in the Alchemia club in Krakow. Izolda was spending the weekend in Krakow and I was on holiday in Poland. The noisy music club wasn’t really an ideal place for a catch up and I don’t think we actually managed to talk too much. Then again the gig was fantastic. The retro-circus-folk music played by the Krakow-based group Vladimirska and the great atmosphere of the club really made the evening a success against all the odds. I tried to take a few pictures during the concert but it was more messing about with the camera than a serious effort as I was standing in the middle of a pulsating crowd trying to avoid getting too many unwanted heads in the frame.
I really encourage you to have a listen to Vladimirska’s music:
